"...Gary Kaschak was the mystery candidate no one saw coming in Ward 8. He's been the same as a councillor- not flashy, but solid. He's a smart, but common sense, independent swing vote. The biggest thing is he's open to ideas, and he listens. He also does his homework."

A Message From Gary Kaschak

As my second term as City Councillor comes to an end, I’d like to reflect on the past eight years. Though I am running for a third term, I want to recognize the inspiring residents I’ve met, the projects that were approved and completed, and most importantly, the work we’ve done to help improve our community in Ward 8.

From being a part of bringing affordable housing to Ward 8, to newly paved multi-use park trails with new solar lighting, numerous park improvements, our new splash pad in Fontainebleau Park, new pickleball and tennis courts, and improvements to our roads, I am pleased to see these improvements welcomed by you and being used.

I am proud of the road improvements and reconstruction that I initiated for Olive, Norman, Westminster, Clemenceau and Joe St. Louis streets this term, with more on the way.

There have also been many mill and pave road improvements, including Empress Court, Coronation Street between Ferndale and Ford, Rose Street from Jefferson to Rivard Street, Queen Elizabeth from Rivard to Clemenceau, Tecumseh Road East from Rivard to Jefferson, with many more to come if re-elected.

With my combination of 37 years of Federal Government employment and eight years serving Ward 8 as your City Councillor, I believe I bring extensive experience serving constituents and a passion for the work I do.

As a proven Windsor leader, I will continue to serve the residents of Ward 8 through continued commitment, integrity, transparency and experience. Together, we can achieve this.

In these turbulent economic times, steady, experienced representation for Ward 8 is important for the next four years.
